Lino Cabral Jr., 87, of Hilo died July 15 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired certified state master mechanic, Korean War veteran and member of Hilo Oval Track, Drag Racing League and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation 5-9 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 4) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 7 p.m. Graveside service 9 a.m. Friday (Aug. 5) at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Harue Furumoto, 93, of Honokaa died July 5 at Hale Hoola Hamakua in Honokaa. Born in Ninole, she was a retired Honokaa Elementary School administrator and member of Honokaa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple and Buddhist Women’s Association, serving in numerous leadership positions. Nicanor “Nick” “Nickie” Nuevo, 88 of Pepeekeo died July 20 at home.
